Plastic Eradication Day – Debate Program. Venue: Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Agriculture College. Date: 04.07.2026 As part of the observance of Plastic Eradication Day, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Agriculture College organized a thought-provoking debate to create awareness about the impact of plastic on society and the environment. The event was conducted under the esteemed leadership of our Principal, Dr. P. Irene Vethamoni, Ph.D., FISVS. The debate was held on the topic "Is Plastic a Friend or an Enemy to Today's Society?" Students enthusiastically participated by presenting arguments both in favor of and against the use of plastic. The speakers highlighted the advantages of plastic, such as its affordability, durability, and widespread applications, while also discussing its harmful effects on the environment, wildlife, and human health due to improper disposal and excessive usage.
